Armstrong TECH ZONE gives a clean, monolithic look using standard ceiling panels and suspension systems, and organises lighting, air diffusers and returns, and sprinkler systems into 150 mm technical zones. It is specified in four steps: design the layout, choose field and technical panels, choose a compatible suspension system (Prelude 38, Suprafine 38 or Silhouette 38) and choose the perimeter treatment. Technical zone main runners have slots every 150 mm; cross tees fixed every 150 mm take 150 mm wide fixtures and every 300 mm for larger elements such as chilled beams (300 mm width and 1500 mm length are marked as to be introduced).
