3.5 core aluminium or copper conductor, PVC insulated, galvanised steel strip / wire armoured cables as per IS 1554 Part 1, rated 1.1 kV (A.C) and 1.5 kV (D.C) to earth. Conductors are stranded compact shaped Cl. 2 as per IS 8130; phase cores are red, yellow and blue and the neutral is black. A PVC / PVC tape inner sheath, single galvanised steel strip or wire armour and PVC Type ST-1 outer sheath (ST-2, FR and FRLS optional) are used. Sizes run from 3 x 25 + 16 to 3 x 630 + 300 sq mm.
