AYY 1 core cable has a aluminium conductor (IS 8130), PVC Type A insulation (option HR PVC Type C) to IS 5831 and a PVC Type ST-1 outer sheath (options ST-2, FR or FRLS), as per IS 1554 Part 1. It is rated 1.1 kV (A.C) and 1.5 kV (D.C) to earth. The part number covers size only, so conductor type and class, insulation type, sheath type and colour must be advised when ordering.
