About this product
Biltech Building Elements Ltd. makes AAC blocks from fine fly ash with lime, gypsum and cement as binders, water and aluminium powder as foaming agent. The mixture is poured into moulds, allowed to rise and set, cut to shape and steam cured in autoclaves for about 10-12 hours at 190 deg C under 12 bar saturated steam pressure. Block sizes vary by plant (Tumkur, Bhigwan, Kolkata, Surat, Palghar).
Key features
- Oven-dry density 451-550 and 551-650 kg/m3
- Average thermal conductivity 0.16 W/m deg K
- Fire resistance 2-6 hours depending on thickness
- Sound reduction index 37-49 dB depending on thickness
- Face sizes and thicknesses vary by manufacturing plant
