The EIB-BUS cable is used for transmission of bus signals for intelligent automation systems in buildings (Building Management System control, monitoring and optimisation of heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting and appliances) and is based on the KNX standard. It has annealed bare copper solid wire conductors with PVC core insulation, cores twisted to star-quad (circuit 1 red and black, circuit 2 white and yellow), wrapped with metal foil, with a plain copper drain wire and a special green PVC outer sheath. Maximum voltage 250 V; not for power installation.
