EXVB is a power distribution cable for low voltage applications in power plants, transformer stations, industrial plants, metropolitan networks and other electric plants where heavier current and thermal loads are expected. It has plain copper conductors (RE, RM, SM, Class-1 and Class-2), XLPE insulation, a special bedding compound inner sheath and a special PVC outer sheath. It is mainly suitable for fixed installations in ground, canals, concrete and areas free from heavy mechanical stress. A water-proof variant, EXeVB, is available with special water blocking tape.
