Fire survival cables combine an armoured 600/1000 V low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cable with circuit integrity, for installations where vital circuits must keep operating in the event of fire. They have plain annealed stranded copper conductors, mica (fire-resistant) tape covered by cross-linked polyethylene insulation, an LSZH bedding, a single layer of galvanized steel wire armour and an LSZH sheath. They are particularly suited to public buildings and constructions such as hospitals, theatres, shopping developments, tunnels, mass transit railways, oil and petrochemical plants, power stations and computer installations.
