FLAMEX FR-LSH has a specially formulated flame retardant low smoke low halogen insulation that restricts the spread of flames in a fire; the smoke emitted by the burning cable is considerably lower than from traditional cables, which improves visibility for evacuation of trapped victims and helps fire fighting. It is suitable for use in conduit and for fixed, protected installation, particularly wiring in fire and explosion prone areas, chemical factories, densely wired areas, public buildings, schools, hospitals, commercial complexes and theatres. Insulation conforms to IS 5831 Type A/D FR-LSH 70°C. The brochure presents it as India's 1st REACH compliant FR-LSH cable.
