JSW Neosteel EDS (Extra Ductile Steel) bars use special chemistry and post-rolling treatment to be more ductile and flexible than regular TMT bars. The high UTS/YS ratio of 1.15 minimum ensures higher energy absorption capacity, making them best suited to structural design for earthquake-prone zones. The Fe 500D EDS grade is rolled in 8-40 mm at Vijayanagar and 8-25 mm at Dolvi.
