About this product
SAIL TMT EQR Fe 550D is the higher-strength EQR grade, with 550 MPa minimum yield strength and 600 MPa minimum tensile strength. It carries the same ductility, weldability and fatigue qualities as the EQR range and is used for RCC in buildings, bridges and other concrete structures.
Key features
- High ductility (UTS/YS ratio)
- Higher elongation and uniform elongation
- Narrow range of yield strength
- Excellent bendability
- Good weldability
- High fatigue resistance on dynamic loading
Applications
- Reinforced concrete construction (RCC) in buildings, bridges and other concrete structures
- Particularly suitable for earthquake-prone zones
