The Seismic Joint Clip for Main Beams allows the ceiling to be divided at a splice on the main beam to meet the IBC requirement for seismic separation joints in ceiling areas greater than 232 m2. An ES4 expansion sleeve is used to cover the 19 mm gap. Full-scale testing is stated to show it performs as well as a field-fabricated separation joint.
