SiD-GL is similar to SiD (solid tinned copper conductor, silicone insulation) with an additional glass-fibre braiding. SiD and SiD-GL are employed in control cabinet manufacturing, the electric motor industry, lighting technology, heating equipment and air conditioning systems. It is halogen-free and adapted to VDE 0250 part 1 and 502.
