VIZAG TMT (QST) rebars are produced by VSP ('A Navratna Company') from fully killed virgin steel. Fe 500 grade conforms to IS 1786:2008 with minimum yield strength 500 N/mm2, UTS 545 N/mm2 and 12% elongation; typical VSP values are YS 550, UTS 648 N/mm2 and 22.0% elongation. The brochure states use of Fe 500 grade saves more than 15% steel versus cold twisted bars. Recommended welding length is 7.0 x dia.
