About this product
A water meter measures how much water is used by a particular consumer and works on a principle similar to electricity or gas meters. Readings can be collected physically, by Wi-Fi network, walk-by reading or GSM/cellular metering. Different meter types are available depending on the method of flow measurement, and automated smart metering lets users pay as per actual use.
Key features
- Available in sizes 1/2" (15 mm) to 12" (305 mm)
- Meter types available: displacement, velocity, multi-jet, turbine, compound, electromagnetic and ultrasonic
- Reading methods: physical reading, Wi-Fi network, walk-by reading, GSM/cellular metering
- Supports smart/automated metering so users pay for actual use
- Full metering in a district metering area (DMA) helps determine leakage through mass balance
- Benefits of metering: reduced demand, reduced supply pipe leakage, lower production and pumping costs, better leakage data, equitable charging
Applications
- Consumption metering of water supply
- District metering areas (DMA) for leakage management
- Consumption-based water billing
