1.5 sq mm copper conductor, PVC insulated unarmoured and galvanised steel strip / wire armoured control cables as per IS 1554 Part 1, rated 1.1 kV (A.C) and 1.5 kV (D.C) to earth. Conductors are solid Cl. 1 or stranded Cl. 2 as per IS 8130 with 0.8 mm PVC Type A insulation (HR PVC Type C optional); cores are colour coded up to 5 cores and number printed above 5 cores. One part number per core count (2 to 61 cores) covers the unarmoured (YY), flat strip armoured (YFY) and round wire armoured (YWY) constructions, with sheath and armour data tabulated for each.
